Is this seriously still a live debate? Different leathers, different characteristics, subjective preferences.

Actually Shinki is far more limited than Horween. Only a select amount is made per year and some cordovan hides taking up to a year to cure at the factory. The Real McCoys, Freewheelers and Flat Head have first pick each year as each of these jackets are hand selected hides.

There is certainly no argument against how good Freewheelers is, and Shinki is certainly great. But let's not repeat their marketing blurb please.

It is your favourite, great!
It takes more time to make, sure!
It is more costly, indeed!
Are the initial hides better? Only professionals know.
Is it the best leather ever? Good luck convincing us about that

The question was "which horse is your pick?", you answered. No point in trying to go further

Quantity produced is not an objective measure of quality.

My cordo Bootlegger has stayed much the same as that across its life time. Both hides wear nicely over time, though I'm not really a fan of teacore finish in either.

@ton312 That is a beautiful jacket. Don't normally care much for them when new, but that one is a head turner.
Thanks Peacoat. It's quickly proven to be my all-time favorite from Aero. It's not the flashiest jacket I've ever owned but the cut and hide scratch me right where I itch.
