Hello again to fellow loungers
I have an question regarding hombergs and fedora
My friend also a vintage hat dealer
Have two hat,an brown/gray homburg and a brown fedora
My question is which of them is better,i fall in love with homburg but i really need a wide brim too
All opinions are respected

It’s all personal preference. One isn’t better than the other. Homburgs are a more formal hat and not as easily dressed down, but it can be done. Most fedoras have wider brims and offer you more protection. Without knowing your wardrobe and your lifestyle it’s impossible to know which would be better for you, but I can say that one is not intrinsically better than the other.

My wardrobe were lot of mix,sonetimes about in 1 month i wear black tie about 2 times with a black homburg and countless time of strollers,well i really need a wider brim first,maybe a brown homberg one next

I think that the fedora is more versatile of the two, but I also love homburgs.
