Help on new board racer

i want a new board racer and I am not sure about which leather or colour to choose . I am torn between black Vicenza , tumbled fqhh and blue navy Vicenza.
On all the photos I have seen the blue looks nearly black with just a subtle blueish note ,which i like. Does it look like this also in direct sunlight?

Does the board racer fit much smaller than the cafe racer?

The Vic blue is not at all close to black. It’s blue. On the lighter side of navy.

Board racer, based on my experience, it’s a tapered streamlined cut jacket. Cafe racer is roomier through the shoulders and chest. I love the board racer and cafe racer, but cafe racer is my favorite of the two. Personal preference.

Thx , maybe someone could post a picture of a navy in sunlight :)
The photos all look blackish to me.

I own two cafe racers both 46, one oil pulled fqhh ( best patina ever) and the other new one also 46 Vicenza brown. The fqhh is much tighter than the same size Vicenza which I mostly wear with a sweater underneath.

So not sure weather 46 for the board racer or even 48....

I can attest the navy is a medium/slighly dark-ish navy that is greatly dependent on lighting conditions. With that said I'd probably be inclined to go with black if I had to do it over. Navy works very well with this style though. And get navy stitching or a subtle color thread to match; too much contrast is overdoing it IMO.

It's the navy chromexcel that looks almost black. The Vicenza is a medium navy.

Thank you very much for your answers , I love blue ... but not too light . Hope maybe someone can post a picture of how it really looks .

Love the look of fqhh but damn the Vicenza is just so smooth...

This is the fit of my 46 oil pulled cafe racer . Fits like a glove with just a T-shirt. Colors on this photo are bad. But it has turned into a great patina!

I also own a cafe racer in midnight blue fqhh. That color looks black with just a hint of deep green hue in sunlight.

If you want dark navy blue, aero isn’t going to have what you’re looking for. Carrie has Vanson make me a navy plu from Vanson, and from what I can see from the pics (arrives today) it’s a pretty medium shade of navy. Which is what I wanted.

To get dark blue, I had Stuart from LW make me a Speed Demon in their navy horse. From what he’s shown me, should be the dark navy I’ve been after.

All of that said, navy is my favorite color but the Aero cordo is my favorite of their colors. So stunning.

Thx for the photo... still so hard to tell what it looks like in the sun. On my phone it does look very dark blue to me. Would you have a photo that in your opinion represents the color perfectly ?

Thank you

Thank you very much-all of you ,for taking your time. I see hints of grey and blue / violet... still seems very dark. Seems hard to capture.

Lovely fit by the way! Congrats.

Finally decided to go with navy. Which lining would you suggest? I will go with brass zippers and non contrast stitching.
Any suggestions of who is the best at aero in the moment to make my jacket? Thx

Mine is still packed away for the warm weather but the Vicenza Blue is not in any way shape or form close to black. Its really hard to accurately photograph but in sunlight is a deep yet quite bright and striking blue/purple almost.

Dont get me wrong its a great colour, just not close to black imo.

They send me a sample. My sample looks very dark . Everybody I showed it to, preferred it to black. But when not shown next to the black they thought it was a blueish Carbon like black. It does looks very dark. Batches may vary...?
