Help identify Schott Perfecto

Hello all,

Glad to be now part of this forum!

I come to ask for help in identifying the model and year of making of my perfecto jacket.


I have been doing a general research in the forum and have a few questions also:


Wasn’t the Bull tag only used in the 70’s and 80’s ? From my current research in forums, since it has “By Schott NYC), should be rather 80’s that 70’s.



- But then, on the other hand, the back of the belt with the “Century Canada”, would not suggest a later manufacture date ?

Also, the 5th digit being a “7”, wouldn’t it indicate rather 97, 07 or 2017 ? Also the inside part of the pockets are black and not white as in these older versions.

Also, the sleeves zippers are from Lenzip.

I also added pictures to help in the process.

email Jerri at Schott. It's definitely not 2017 and I think you can rule out 2007 as well. I'm going to guess 97 with a slight chance of 87.

Yes, I would email Jerri. Gail used to be the go to person at Schott, but she died a year or so back. Don't know how good Jerri is. This is something she should be able to find out for you.

Just passing by to let you guys know that I’ve been talking with Jerri from Schott, and the jacket was identified (most likely) as a 618 model, from 1997. According to the Schott source, the Bull tag was not unique to the 70’s and 80’s, and was used in various production lots when the Guy-riding-a-bike was not available. The buckle snap is likely added later, as it turns out to be quite common. The pocket lining being black is something they changed since 25~ years.
