Hi everyone,
I recently bought my first (hopefully vintage) Pendleton shirt and I’m trying to date it more precisely. I’d really appreciate any help from those more experienced with Pendleton labels.
From what I’ve gathered so far:
Are there any other reliable indicators (label variations, stitching details, etc.) that could help narrow down the production period?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

From what I’ve gathered so far:
- Around 1970–1994, the tag usually had “Made in USA” placed below “Pure Virgin Wool” (before 1970 no "made in USA")
- From about 1995–2009, the tag seems to lose the “Pure Virgin Wool” wording.
Are there any other reliable indicators (label variations, stitching details, etc.) that could help narrow down the production period?
Thanks in advance for any insights!
