Movies:

Romance in Manhattan
Bachelor Mother
Tender Comrade
Top Hat
Swing Time

Roman Holiday

Fellas: Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart
Gals: Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Rosalind Russell, Norma Shearer
Kids: Mickey Rooney, Virginia Weidler
Movies: The Philadelphia Story, The Women, Holiday, Jezebel...oh, too many to list! Hollywood just does NOT write wonderful dialogue anymore, like they did back in the day.
I agree with everyone!
William Powell is my all time favorite.
Myrna Loy probably my fave actress.
Favorite movie..."The Remarkable Andrew", no "The Maltese Falcon". Maybe since I said Bill Powell I should say "High Pressure". Aw heck, Once I choose one I think of another later on.
The favorites people have listed here are a great way to dive into old movies. My own #1 is The Philadelphia Story, so I always recommend that first (biased, I know.) Followed by any of the Spencer Tracy-Katharine Hepburn films (Woman of the Year, Adam's Rib), Bette Davis classics (Now, Voyager; Jezebel; The Letter) the Thin Man series... everyone will have different movies to recommend. Have fun!
