Heirloom Messenger bag, custom handmade by The Moose Leather Shop of Seattle. This full-grain hide was special custom-ordered in natural tan this past year, lightly hand-fatigued by Moose Leather. It was made within this year, and I’ve used it on-and-off. Excellent as an Every-Day-Carry, just the right size and constructed to last as a heirloom bag (ha! Thus the name).

The custom order includes the beautiful NATURAL TAN that is beginning to darken. I also eliminated the zipper for the slot pocket in the back of the bag because I didn’t want to risk scratching my things when they’re placed into and out of the pocket, so I had it replaced with a snap enclosure tab, which will be more durable yet equally functional.

I will include for you the aftermarket shoulder pad, along with the nearly unused original shoulder pad that came with the bag.

Having owned a handful of Moose Leathers products, I’d estimate this bag has broken in only about 10%. (It will require a lot of use by you to break in further.) But I’m selling this bag for 50% of the price I paid several months ago from Moose Leathers (and about three weeks wait). Although preowned, this Heirloom Messenger Bag is in great shape—ready to be your partner for years or decades to come.

DIMENSIONS: H – 11” L – 14.5” W – 6”. Again, just the perfect size for an EDC. And look good doing it. Not a Saddleback bag, but damn the craftsmanship is strong and sophisticated!

The 13-inch MacBook Pro fits inside the BACK slot inside the bag, which is smaller than the main compartment, so it seems the main compartment may hold a 15-inch notebook if placed diagonally—but don’t quote me on that as I don’t own a 15-inch notebook. My home scale measures this Heirloom bag at 4.4 pounds.

Looks so stylish. Where can I find a similar backpack? I conducted extensive research into different high-end backpacks, comparing pricing, weight, and style, but couldn't find any suitable college laptop backpack. I'm using the Super Slim rucksack from VGOAL, but it's made of nylon, and it's not as durable as leather ones. Although it's very comfortable to wear, it doesn't look expensive, and I can't wear it at international conferences. So, if you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'd be grateful for any assistance you can provide.
