Headwear Association Annual Dinner 2014

This past Thursday I was able to attend the Headwear Association Dinner. It was held at the Boathouse in Central Park in NYC. It was a great time getting to chat with members of the hat industry.

After the meeting we went out and side with some folks from RHE Hatco and DelMonico Hatter was presented with a plaque for being the 2013 Dress hat retailer of the year.

Then it was as cocktail time

Oh my god! This looks so fun! I have never heard of this. I would love to go, which is doable for me since I am in DC. Look at all the elderly gentlemen with their hats and smiling faces...they all look so adorable! I looked at their site and if this annual dinner is held at the same time next year I probably won't be able to make it because I will most likely be out of the country. I will definitely keep up with this organization and their events. I don't think I could wear any of my vintage hats there as this organization seems to promote modern hats, that is fine, I can don a modern hat to support modern milliners.

They are great people. Maybe one day when I'm not low man on the totem pole in a company of 3 people I'll be able to attend the dinner as well. I had to stay at the shop while they went and had fun
