I put mine in the washing machine with a little soap to break them in. A well known and well used technique. Removes wrinkles too. Front loaders are best. Never hurt a jacket in the 20 years I've done it.
Aerojoe;
Did you make any progress in removing the wrinkle?

I have seen this here in the lounge, but I thought after washing machine you had a lot of more wrinkles :eeek:
Not really. What will happen is that the whole jacket will become softer and look more textured. Instead of one big crease, there will be many subtle little ones that look like normal wear. You can make it even more worn in looking by wearing it when damp.
Best to wear it until dry or can you just hang it on a nice thick hanger till dry? The NOS Lesco Cafe Racer has some pronounced wrinkling of the collar that I'd like to eliminate.
To eliminate the folds occurred during the delivery, I always use a garment steamer. That way, I just smoothed a suede blazer.
Steamer is a handy thing. Suits, overcoats, non-iron shirts... Due to the steamer, I use an iron to ten times less.I have no steamer though.
