OK delete or move if you must but a lot of readers may be as interested as me.
How on earth can I stop an open page jumping up and down, taking me to halfway through a topic so I have to scroll back as ads load and change.
I know advertising pays for things but I now look at less pages simply because I am fed up with having to adjust my screen just to finish reading a sentence paragraph etc.
I have posted this on other pages including FAQ (I think)but no reply :(

Thank you.

I have that jumping up and down when I'm scrolling down a page where not all pictures have loaded yet and every time a new picture pops up, the whole page starts jumping around.

I guess you can stop that by hitting the red cross to make the website stop loading. No more jumping around. No more pictures loading either, though.

Maybe it's your Internet connection speed? I don't seem to have that issue, but I'm on a 100/100mbs connection.

You could also try a different browser. The fastest of all is Lynx, but it's text-only, which means no graphics will display. Not very useful on a site like this.

Most people use Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Exploder. There are other browsers around, such a Chromium, Opera, Vivaldi and Torch. Some of today's browsers suffer from feature bloat, and that affects speed.

Why are there so many duplicate pictures when someone posts?

I think that's a function (bug?) of the software. Unlike many sites that require a link to an image rather than the actual image itself, there are toggles (thumbnail, full size) when one uploads photos. At times, I think the software gets confused and displays duplicate images. I'm just guessing, of course...

We're having some teething issues with the new software. This is indeed connected to the ads refreshing, but there appears to be a solution; staff are working on this right now behind the scenes. Should be resolved soon.

No mate, things like ads for Netflix, Interflora, Fisher Investments etc. Now it's Alan ******* Sugar and his awful TV program Aggggghhhhhh!
Edward has put in a reasonable answer to all this. Lets hope they can work something out :)

If accessing the forum using Tapatalk there are no such issues with the ads. Still pictures sometimes get duplicated with the actual picture first and then the thumbnail (which is about as big as the picture).
