I'm new here. (This is my first post.) I discovered this site from newspaper clipping my father sent to me. I come from a family of hat wearers, and bald heads!

Do any of you gents know of a good hattery in L.A.? (Lower Alabama)

The best thing is to read a bunch of the threads here, and then contact one of our members...if you want a custom made. Ie, Art, Optimo, etc.

We have AAron hats, and Besdor...and you can even go to the MILLERBROTHERS.com site. They have a wide selection of modern hats. LA? no clue. Google?

I think in La , there is Baron Hats and another hatter in the Fairfax area but I can't remember his name . In San Fransisco and San Diego there are more stores .:cool2:

Okay, obviously my humour was missed. Around here LA stands for Lower Alabama! You know that portion of the Gulf Coast that has such wonderful weather, if you take out the hurricane factor.

"Meyer the Hatter" in New Orleans is open for business once again. That's were I bought all my hats when I lived in Louisiana years ago... super cool family run shop with tons of hats. Check them out on the web....

Welcome lEVII.:cheers1: Whereabouts in LA are you located? I live in Daphne and work in downtown Mobile. I "second" Meyer The Hatter.....have gotten many fine hats from there, and yes they are open...stopped in a couple of weeks ago and picked up a little something.

I live in Mobile. My work pretty much takes me everywhere around here, though.

I called Meyer today and had a wonderful chat with Mr. Sam.

LEVII....Cool Beans! Nice to see another hat fan from my neck-o-the woods. As far as I know Meyer The Hatter is by far the best hat shop anywhere in our area.......BUT if you get over towards Destin sometime, you may want to drop by "Hats in the Belfry". They don't have near the selection of nice hats that Meyers does, but may be worth your time if you're in the area. Hats in the Belfry also has an online source for hats if you want to check them out.
