No hat today as I rode my bike to work, but back home, we cracked open the Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask. We enjoyed the 225 Sauternes Cask, so thought we’d try this one. I think I prefer this one. A little less sweet, a bit more spice. Very yummy. The numbers refer to the volume of the casks (in litres). I know the 500 Sherry Cask is also available for a reasonable price here.. That’ll be next on our list. All are stared in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in the respective barrels.

Been awhile since I’ve had Ole Smoky— do they still sell it in jars? Great pic!
Thanks Jeff. I think so… that’s the way I remember coming across it in Tennessee. Oddball things like moonshine pickles or cherries and whatnot. This one a friend brought over it smells exactly like salted caramel and tastes great if it is ice cold and taken as a shot… not so much if the temp rises a bit and you sip.. flavors get very overwhelming.
