Happy Christmas eve All! Enjoying a moderately warm, rainy afternoon with a pipe, a small Old Fashioned under one of the Stetson James Deans. Just counting the hours till St Nicholas arrives to see if I get Goodies or a bag of coal.

Hi Captain Rob,

I am very happy to see that you are wearing your new hat that the USPS Lost on September 29, 2024, this experience has taught me a lot, I need to keep putting copies of mailing labels inside with hats that I sell with my letter to my customer, purchase enough insurance to cover the purchase price plus postage, and if the package is lost fill out negative reviews of the service, send off letters to the top management, post master general, and contact your congressman. It doesn't make any sense that a package was undeliverable when the original postage label is the same as the copy inside the box and the one inside the box was used for the final delivery. It looks like the postal workers were just screwing around with this delivery.

I have some new 115G weight Sable color 100% rabbit fur felt in stock, I am going to make a nother Indy Style fedora in the sable color. The Sable color was the original color for the first Raiders fedora, the 115G weight makes a nice dress weight hat.

I finally made myself a Raiders style hat, I decided to make a Pan Am Clipper style, dark Gray with black hat band.

Drink one for me.

I hope that you enjoy and get to wear you hat often,
Darrell

I wish that I could join you all in a good drink, my favorite is a margarita, my problem now is I have to take a lot of meds just to keep me above ground and the alcohol kind of counteracts the action of the meds, or thins my blood out to much. I rely on meds and a battery to keep me going, a EMP might take me out. Oh well where is that Margarita??? Drink one for me.

An Old Akubra Stylemaster and a Big Bloody Mary for New Years Lunch! ( Ground horseradish, Worcestershire sauce and Chipolte hot sauce) I took things real easy last night, but I figured its New Years day, so why not have a big glass of "Hair of the dog that bit me" lol

Happy New Year!

Yes Labradors have perfected the art of clearing a table with their tails, you just can't have a table with short legs if your friend happens to be a Labrador.. Good Luck with your next drink or meal if you are sitting at a low coffee table.

Hes a big goofy bulldozer for sure ( 96lbs) Sitting out by the firepit with a pipe a bit ago and he insisted I repeatedly throw his oversized tennis ball for an hour. All the patio chairs out there are rearranged lol

Sitting out back with an early 70's Peterson pipe, a modern (early 90s?) Sovereign Stetson Whippett, and a healthy sized Rum Punch. ( Old Appleton Estate rum and young Mango nectar)

Taking advantage of a fairly warm afternoon before sundays cold front, and new weeks cold weather. If the weather guy is correct about the temperature, I may take a folding chair and be smoking out in the garage next week lol

For anyone interested.. todays bowl is filled with 4th Generation 1897 blend. Nice mix of Virginias, Burleys, Black Cavendish, with a bit of vanilla and honey. If youre lookng for a nice tounge friendly aromatic... give it a try
