I don't recall if anyone besides Eric & I have alcohol shipped in & may have been experiences problems of late. I finally got an explanation that may mean the problem is temporary:

"Sorry to let you know that we are under Covid restrictions and unfortunately it looks like your state is not allowing any alcohol to come in from other states.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again in a few weeks."

Snowy commute home tonight. I went for a walkabout with the dog while sipping an Omni Brewing New England IPA.

On a mission from Saint Patrick earlier. For HH on this Saint Patrick's Day Eve I'm enjoying some Boulevard Brewing's Bourbon Barrel Aged Quad Ale. At 12.2% ABV & a great red color after aging, it's perfect to represent an Irish Red Ale.

That looks really good in the glass Jack! Very cool pipe also, and the derby is perfect for the occasion!

Thanks DD! ''Tis one of the seasons when I really enjoy wearing a Derby. And I haven't drank a green beer since I was 12 yrs old & the next morning thought I needed to go to the hospital. I like a good Irish Red Ale this time of yr & it's long been rumored this is aged in Elijah Craig casks. Granite City Brewing has a seasonal aged Irish Red Ale & it is aged in Elijah Craig casks.

Thanks Alan. I knew you enjoyed cigars but didn't know you might be a pipe smoker. It's a Nording Pickaxe group 2. I filled it with McClelland's Scottish Woods, a favorite. I need to get a new magic eraser & clean the stem.
Scottish Woods is a damn good smoke. Haven't seen in in a minute though. Actually, anything with Latakia (or some perique) is good by me. I packed up and stored away most of my pipes and have become an occasional smoker. I have a few here at home though, and a decent stash of tobacco, and you guys are making me want a bowl. I even have a half gallon mason jar packed with tobacco that i grew, air cured and fermented. Haven't smoked it yet, maybe I'll give that a try. Been aging for two years now.

Takin' delight in the juice of the barley.

What whiskey won’t cure, there's no cure for! Enjoying some Connemara 12 Irish Peated Single Malt Whiskey. Smooth & mild with plenty of Peat, if you have trouble with the complexity of Scotch Whisky this might be for you. 80 proof.

Love the derby, and that glass is killer.
