Nice tall crown on that hat..unless it is optics and camera angle, but it looks very nice.

Wearing my BSHW I finally took in a new Celtic pub that recently opened nearby. I enjoyed a few Smithwick Irish Ales while eating a plate of corn beef hash & potatoes.

Specializing in a large inventory of Celtic whiskies I decided to switch to a Highlands Speyside Single Malt Whisky. Since I have never had Speyburn 10 yr old before, I enjoyed several pours neat. Stingy pours but very smooth & enjoyable for a 10 yr old Single Malt. Very heathery (like the felt of my BSHW) & apertif like. Probably the best 10 yr old I know of. I'll be adding a bottle to my "library" soon.

It's a full 3x6 open, & 4-3/4 at the front dip. It's not the angle.

It had a full kettle curl plus a deep flange which was too much for a 2-3/4" brim, so I'm working out the flange & bringing the curl down to a pencil.

LOL...the only thing I could be braggin' about is the fact I have better Tequila at home. But somehow I just can't bring myself to drink water or a Coke with my Tex Mex. I've pondered that scenario myself before.

I always thought the same, but we had a ‘Tequila Night’ at the house and my wife broke out the Margaritaville machine and made from-scratch Margaritas with cheopo Cuervo, and then with Don Julio, and we did a blind testing with about 15 people. To a man, everyone said it was night and day difference for the Julio. I was surprised at how much of a difference.

Having one of my top 3 favorite beers in the world while watching Baylor/OU game with the 1941 Strat.

Schneider Weisse Aventinus, Widely regarded as one of the best beers in the world. I’m a big Trappist Ale guy, and it’s right up there with Rochefort and
La Trappe for me.

Go Baylor !

Tame adventures for me after a long week. Yesterday afternoon I spent time making big wood into small wood. Celebrated the efforts with a Guinness.

Early evening I was relaxing with a dram of Green Spot.

Taking a break from working on the bike and hot rod today and enjoying one of my favorite Summer Beers and Summer hat, since it’s damn near 70F here.

Altstadt Alt beer and Akubra Balmoral Hemp. Altstadt is a brewery down in the TX Hill Country in Fredericksburg with German roots. Good stuff amd a great brewery to visit.
