Best way to branch out is to find a bar with a good selection where you can try whiskeys by the drink before buying a bottle. Decide what kind of distilled product you will most likely like best, then work thru some of the premiums. Examples: if you like spice then try Irish whiskey, less spice try Rye, etc. Want something milder than Bourbon try Canadian, etc.Thanks for the review Jack. Curious about the bourbon. I did try a small glass of Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon last weekend at a friends. I did not enjoy at the first sip, but it grew on me.
