Wood is a lot more expensive in Mexico. That is why houses are made of brick and concrete.I'm not familiar with labor rates in Mexico. I would figure at this point production was semi-automated with a jig or fully automated with CNC. Throw in cost of materials, there's probably not that much mark up for profit at that price. Must be using the Walmart strategy of making a few pennies x mass volume.
A wooden house would be very expensive here.
Labor is a lot cheaper, as is the cost of living. That is one of the reasons I prefer living in Mexico.
