So my collection is somewhat meager. But, we got rid of the TV inside the armoire in our bedroom and I was granted most of the space inside :) So, now I'll rotate my fedoras and panams:

Just a side note:

Storing hats upside down like that will eventually lead to misshapen crowns as the weight of the hat flattens the humps, especially on center-dented crowns. C-crowns and diamonds are not as susceptible. Regardless, I don't ever put any of my hats down on their crowns.

nice storage space.
everyone has their methods but I definitely don't recommend storing your hats on the crown like that.
I know some suggest it but over time you will end up with worn areas on the creases of the felt and also flat spots in the nap.
Store them on the brim if on a flat surface ... store them upside down if in a hat box

Interesting - I have always been told the opposite - storing hats brim side down was bad. I'll flip them over :) Thanks for the heads-up

A simple hat stand can be made by; poster board cardboard cut 5": wide and about 24" in length. Form into a circle slightly smaller than the inner dimension of the hat. A few staples or glue to the ends. The cardboard sits inside the hat and holds it about an inch off the shelf.

For the ones that don't have their original boxes, I store mine in hat boxes that I got from Hatco, the Stetson/Resistol factory outlet store. Typical current day Stetson boxes.

I don't really have any more space for hat hooks. I have 3 hooks up on a meter wide section of wall. I was thinking of putting a bunch over this wall, but the heater is right there. There are not really other spaces I could use.

I think it would, but I thought I would get other opinions, I'm sure putting the hats so close to the heater would shrink my hats. What do you think?

I would be careful of blowing hot air so close to the hats. Maybe farther away on the way

A recent find at The Container Store (Texas, USA). A sturdy, hat-worthy storage box measuring 16X12X10 outside, plenty large enough for most fedoras and homburgs and some westerns. Unlike the thin, collapsible boxes I previously purchased at TCS, these are well-made with a "solid" feel. These boxes have very much the thickness and construction of modern HATCO hat boxes. For $4.99, I think they make a great hat box for general hat storing duties. You will need to make "hat ovals" for inside the box, but most of us do that with cardboard or heavy construction paper. They did not have a product name or number, so I included a pic of the bar code.
