Hat Jacks for $6.49

Harbor Freight Tools has cedar hat jacks for $6.49 if anyone is interested. I picked one up, works great, smells great.

I signed up for their online coupons. A few months ago they had a coupon for the hat stretcher at $3.99 and I picked up 6 of them so I can keep them in my hats that want to shrink back down. Still not a bad price at $6.49 though.

I just searched on hat. It came up with 11 hits and one was the the hat jack. [huh]

It looks like it's inches, not by hat size. That is unless hat sizes go up to 10 5/8. :eusa_doh:

Sizing

These hat jacks will fit a 7 1/2 size hat. I unscrewed one of them and it went to just over 10 inches (end to end) before it came unthreaded. Fully collapsed it fits a 6 7/8 that I have with a little room to spare. The wood even has a bit of taper built in.

I use them regularly in my 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 for minor stretching. The vintage stretchers are about twice as tall and much more heavy duty, but these are functional at a much better price. I don't see any mail order options at this time.

yeah, the 7 1/2" minimum must be inches measured....it fits inside my 56 easily.

I've got a store right down the street. I'll have to check out the hat jack. Hadn't noticed it before.

I have one of those plastic one and I have to almost completely unscrew the thing to fit, I will run over to Harbor Freight tom. and see if I can find one in there.

Looking at the web site I found that item. Do they have any way to order online, closest store for me is almost 60 miles so will only go there if passing by, if I can remember.
