Hi! My partner was in a Goorin Bros. in Atlanta+/- four years ago, when he tried on this hat.

For reasons that escape my comprehension, he did not buy it. It is clearly the perfect hat for his head!

I have written Goorin Bros. but they are unable to identify it.

With research, I have come up with:

It has a relatively short crown with a center crease and no discernable pinches? Looks kinda like a Homburg, but not...right? Aren't Homburg stiff? And have a wonderful brim?

I see the crown is rounded back out with his head, so a soft hat...and a fairly stingy brim with no grosgrain.

Anybody recognize this?
This photo takes my breath away...it suits him so perfectly!
I have to find it, or one like it!

Thanks for your input and help!

Homburgs are usually considered soft felt hats, although stiffness can vary considerably. We would need more close up pics, but this looks to me like a Trilby with the brim up creating something of a homburg look in your pics. But it could also be (or be shaped into) a pork pie.

What is your budget? You save yourself lots of time and the angst of the hunt by commissioning a custom. They may be less expensive than you think. Shoot me a PM.
