Hi there, hope you don't mind a newbie to this forum throwing out a possibility. I once had similar symptoms (sans chapeau) and thought I was having a heart attack (at 32!).

I went to the doctor, they ran some tests, and the doctor asked me what was going on in my life. Well, at the time I'd just broken up with a long-term-thought-we-were-gonna-get-married girlfriend, my work life was not stimulating and I was afraid that I'd get laid off since there wasn't enough work to keep my busy, and a number of other things going on. He told me I needed to do something to get rid of stress. Exercise, primarily, but also eat better and the whole nine yards.

Not saying that's what's happening here, but I thought I'd help if I could.
Same thing for me over a year ago. Chest pains and such , went to the doc they put me through stress tests and all that fun stuff.:eusa_doh: Said it looked like stress, and I needed to exercise and lose some weight.

Ditto on the stress as a possibility. I got panic attacks, dizzy spells and a racing heart late last year and it was all stress. I started going to the gym again, and it's 100% gone now.

Certainly am light headed if I don't get caffeine...

Seriously, I do get the occasional light headed moment.
I do have low blood pressure (tho not terribly).
I also take Allegra, especially this time of year, and
that can lead to dizziness. Do you?

Finally, I'm surprised no one has asked- how does your porkpie
fit? Is it particularly tight? Still not likely that it has an
effect on blood flow to the brain (below the skull) but who knows...

It certainly felt tight at the moment! And I took it off immediately to rub my head which is why I posted this in the hat section of this forum. But I don't thinks it's too tight. I've worn it before without the dizziness. I'm going to my E.N.T. Doctor this afternoon, I'll keep you posted.

I had a dizzy spell once that lasted an hour. Could not get past it or get my heart rate down. ER tests showed nothing. Stress test same thing - flying colors. Tests went on for months, and I got sicker and sicker, dropped weight, could eat almost nothing but turkey and melon.
Finally found the right Dr., who spent all of 30 seconds with me and said "gall bladder." Sure enough, that was it. Chronic gall bladder disease. Had it out, and no trouble since (except an irregular heartbeat, but that's another story) ;)
.....that's amazing. :eusa_doh:

Nothing definitive from my E.N.T. Doctor my ears appear to be fine and he seemed perplexed. I have more tests for my brain stem functions (balance testing) next Monday. I'm beginning to think that it's possibly a migraine or nutrition or lack thereof. Still haven't ruled out stress.

Actually I have those symptoms fairly frequently. I am on two meds , one specifically for hypertension, the other also used for that as well as for my enlarged prostate.

The prostate med is known for causing orthostatic hypotension( sudden drop in blood pressure), and in combination with other antihypertensive meds can cause some interesting symtoms.

Orthostatic hypotension occurs when one gets up quickly, or too quickly for his/her condition. Mine usually happens when outside doing yard work, if I bend over and stand up too much. Life is a bunch of trade off's in some cases.

Just walking down a mall, I think I would see my doctor, It could be a number of things and is beyond the scope of this forum to diagnose.

You bet. If I lay on the couch reading all day. Then I get up to make a sandwitch or something. Wooooooo look out. Total head tingle.

However, walking donw the mall? Nope. I'd have your doctor take a look at it.

I saw my primary doctor today filled him in as to what is going on. This is his "running prognosis" it's called Ménière's Disease. I looked it up and it's pretty close.

Here is some information.
