Hello everyone,

We had an interesting guest this week on 'Harry & Edna on the Wireless'.

It was Hannah Griffiths from the National Trust (owners of the Old Battery) & she talked about the battery from Victorians times to the early space age.

Of interest to this forum, she explain the role of the battery in WW2 and how the only thing it shot down was a single ME 109.

Hope you enjoy Stray Cat, the chap who built the Spitfire is an amazing chap but I fear without Edna my voice is a dull monotone. Skip over my bits.
