is this Black and White 'original formula' 90th anniversary stuff any different to the standard Black and White ?
No. At least it seems to be exactly the same. Scarily,i've been using it for 30 of those 90 years!
that's quite a claim ! you might be able to get some sort of corporate sponsorship from them.
i'm trying Black and White again after a good ten year stint on Dax 'Wave and Groom'.

My first attempt cutting my own hair. Could have turned out much worse. Need to work on the angle and the back, which is too long too low. Brylcreem combed back.
The barber I've been going to is one of those guys that's been cutting hair for 50 years, but he never gets it short enough on the sides. A friend of mine is a stylist at a salon and she can nail it, but it's more expensive.
I personally never use a hair dryer. I just put in pomade after taking a shower. It is much simpler that way, and it holds better in my opinion. That video looks too complicated to me. However, I personally prefer to make my hair flat on my head, rather than the video showing a slight upward combing.
As for how you want the barber to cut your hair, I would ask him to leave the top long, and cut the sides short.
