Just picked this one up at a local antique store for $85. The neck is warped and not repairable since there's no truss rod but since I play slide anyway, no problemo. It was pretty cool to cut off the old strings (flat wounds probably from the 30's) and have her sing again. She's only an old birch ladder braced catalog guitar (i think made by Stromberg-Voisinet for Sears) but she sounds pretty cool on old Hawaiian stuff or Blind Willie Johnson.

Hi guys, Nice guitars!!!
Here are mine. I've been playing since I was 13 years old, I'm 34 these days.
I've been in dozens of garage rock bands starting in high school..

So we have a Fernandes RST50, a Japanese stratocaster copy form the early 80s, a Gibson ES335 50th anniversary reissue, and a Gibson Advanced Jumbo.

Here you can see my amp, a Marshall Super Lead from 1970, with its original basketweave cab (pre-rola Celestion speakers inside), and above it my favourite guitar! A Santa Cruz OM/PW.

Thanks BF
yup, "worn" i know lived in the Falls, not many jobs there anymore
All from cheap parts. RockAudio body ( good part, lousy communications ) double bound blem went and installed Shaller top loader, fender vintage tuners. a little bit at a time, more fun than just cost savings.
The RockAudio body was a perfect fit to the neck.
i just like to build things vs buying something and have to tear it apart to make it feel like mine

Nice detail on the back! The idea of building one seems like fun but in all honesty, I'm a bit ham-fisted when it comes to tools. Goes along with my playing . I can do it, but it ain't pretty.

By the Falls, I'm guessing Cuyhoga as opposed to Chagrin or Newton?

On the occasion of adding a new member to the family (the Dobro with the poinsettia coverplate) I decided to take a family portrait. Apologies for the few non-guitar instruments. I keep telling my wife, "Just one more guitar and that will be it." It's a sickness, I know.

Unless you're trying to make money at it, talent is overrated. It's more important that you're having fun. Nice Loar!

Sorry my previous post was just the letter h. New user. Anyway, love that guitar. Also wondering how you found out the model name. I've been researching the Cromwell brand and only found G4 and G6 model names for arch tops.
