"Gordon & Ferguson" was founded in 1871 in Saint Paul, Minesota by Richard Gordon (1829-1911) and Paul Ferguson
Early products was under Gordon & Ferguson/Gordon label, Field And Stream appeared later, as I understand
The G&F company also acquired other companies from Saint Paul : Lanpher, Skinner & Company(Forest & Stream); Guiterman Brothers (Town & Country); Herman K. Lavin Company(Northbilt, Land-N-Lakes); Wacouta Company
G&F was closed in 1998(not sure)
