Some more McDonalds in Europe

This is because most European cities have an old part of town that is preseved and where tearing down buildings is out of the question. These old town parts are very popular and the only way McDonald's can sneak in there is by starting up in one of these old buildings. I must admit that it makes flipping burgers look a lot more fashionable than it really is.

This is the Regent Theatre in Melbourne:

This is a real Golden Era treasure. The Regent was opened in 1929. It was gutted by fire in 1945. It was reopened in 1947. In the 1970s and 80s it was threatened with closure and demolition. Funds were raised and the theatre was restored to its original 1930s grandeur and was reopened in 1996.

It's a live-theatre venue to this day.

I went there last night for a musical.
