Golden Bear Police Motorcycle Jacket

Just bought this old jacket to wear on my Harley, hopefully it will fit me.
Anyone want to take a guess at what type of leather it is made from and when it was made?
Is it possible to date it from the zippers and outer snap cuffs with inner knitted storm cuffs?
Maybe the label?

Based on the grain and drape, I'm gonna guess steerhide, 1980's?

Nice jacket, looks to be in great shape. I may be wrong but I associate those zippers/pulls with 60s jackets (have seen previously on Oakbrooks etc)

I think of this label as 60s, they had a variety of labels through the years.During this era they made very nice leather jackets.

This is a police jacket; badge stiching , belt loops, button cuffs instead of zips. Not doubt a steerhide jacket. The original collar is a big plus with me.

Police jackets are retired from duty if they become too worn, some leave the field, so often found in good condition.

Thanks for your input, I was also made in the 60’s and it is great to think that this jacket might be as old as me!
I have a number of other jackets for wearing on my bike, I think this Golden Bear will be kept for special occasions.
