Hey guys. I’m kicking around the idea of getting an Aero goatskin jacket and thought it’d be fun to start a thread dedicated to posting pics of them. Other brands are also welcome. I’m just trying to stay away from this turning into an A-2 /military flight jacket thread. Civilian jackets preferred. Show us the goats!

Can’t show anything yet , I’ve just ordered my first Aero in Seal Goatskin. The sample I have of it is awesome, really hope the one they use on my jacket is as good.

Oh man, goat is my favourite. For me it tops everything. I had an Aero in seal goat, lovely leather. Very comfortable, nice drape, hard wearing, soft hand, luxurious feeling.

I also have this Thedi goat in olive that is the best leather I have ever handled:

That olive skin looks amaizing. Do you have a picture that shows more of the jacket?

Great - Thank you very much. I am looking for a comfortable easy to wear jacket that is durable and not a CXL tank. I am tempted to buy my first Thedi with this skin. I am just not sure yet what model to go for.

The goat of Thedi is awesome. Although I find the Thedi jackets very beautiful on others, I get no "want to have feeling" for myself.
Also the goat of Aero I like very well, but before I get one, I would like to have one, two other leather, which I do not have yet.
My only goat jackets are those from 5*. These are very robust and certainly not bad in quality, but from an optical point of view they are far away from Thedi and Aero.
Without the comparison to Aero and Thedi, 5* black and seal premium goat is ok, russet can be forgotten.

Here's my Aero thunderbay in goat, it's a nice jacket. Shearling lined goat is a nice weight, not too heavy, not too light.

Very nice! I have just received my Aero Thunderbay in horsehide. I was torn between horse and goat. Either way I would have been very happy, glad to see a goat version!

No - standard leather as it will be used on the bike so thought that would wear better

I’ve been wearing vintage WWII goat today, which wears wonderfully. I have a new goatskin Aero arriving tomorrow and will post here.

These are getting me over the lingering trauma of the disgusting stench of 5 Star ‘russet’ goat.

My Aero russet goat / wool jacket is being cut. Love the new system with the progress updates, from cutting to machining to QC. The old system would just say "production".

Most goat does an excellent job repelling water with the exception of veg tanned goat.

I think goat is unusually resistant even when veg tanned.
