I have a few hats for this thread from last year's exchange with @Mean Eyed Matt that never managed to post till now, all in special felt finishes. Due to lack of time the saved pics were meant for documentation only and thus are straight out of the box without steaming/brushing.

Panos, Thank you for posting this Rockel "Flamand". Fantastic color and finish. Also that it's NOS which is major bonus.

And some velours. It's been a while but if I am not mistaken this was the Rockel's pair.

Echter Bronnold "Sekunda". Medium weight velour in black. Great condition.

Looks like it's a Bronnold. They used an odd logo which is next to unreadable unless you already know what it says. They are very tough to find. Wonderful felt, Panos.

Panos, Super! Fantastic Velour and I really like the Form. As Stefan said Bronnold's are a tough find. Looking forward to seeing your other Velours. I also need to post some new finds.

Another one from the Norwegian-German exchange last year. I had this one on my watchlist for a long time.

Bayerland F.G.M. velour in black with sharkgill bow

Some wear and tear on the sweatband and a grease stain on the liner but the felt seems intact. For that price I would buy them every day. Very similar to the pair Stefan has posted in the past. With that I think we are ready to enter the JHS territory

Panos, Fantastic! I am fairly certain this beauty was made by JHS. The paper label is a similar shape and the printed number "20 2127" and printed "5" size. Also the "32" small quality check stamp. My guess is early 1920s.

Steve, Thanks! Good to know! I thought we had no clues of the velour maker for FGM, but maybe the labels were missing in the few past finds. I'll need to check again my other ones for labels. Great detection work!

Panos, I can't say for sure. There are similar FGM examples but for some reason I didn't put it together until now. The "20 2127" is similar to the JHS Com # format.

While Panos and Steve are posting their wonderful velour hats, here's an interesting find all on its own.
This was one of the lottery hats I went for a good week ago. I'd say it's a winner.
Carl Blum extra velour in black. Size 56 with the raw edge brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Thick and heavy velour with a great hand to it and shapes with ease. An oddity is that the nap of the velour on the crown is brushed clockwise. Made for the Italian market as the label is in part in Italian. The label gives 9/30 under the "data", which means it's from 1930 I suppose. There was a hatter called Anton Blum in Salzburg, Austria. Carl could well be related.
