Albert Funk Hut=Fabrik Bamberg, paper bag, probably early 1900s. I received this last week. The bag appears to have been never been used.

Albert Funk Hutfabrik became Bamberger Haarhutfabrik in 1922 so the paper bag has to predate 1922.

Another great hat ephemera find, Steve. Also from German E-bay?

Steve, Thanks! Yes this was a German Ebay find. It's unusual because it's a bag vs. an advertising placard. It must have been for a tie, gloves or something similar. I have some other old paper bags that were used for hats like this one.

So interesting and steeped in history, Steve. I have a penchant for that era in German history. I must start looking on German eBay.

Seems like herr Müller had a fine assortment of head wear. Do you know what city his establishment was in?

Steve, Thanks! They were located in Marburg. Here is the hat "Gloria" (no company mark) that was in the paper bag. I decided to wear it today! :)

What a great hat, Steve. Very interesting shape and colour. Love the large ribbon and bow pattern. 1920's would you say?

Steve, Thanks! I am guessing 1930s but can't say for sure. I am asking a Typography expert about about the type of script "Gloria" on the sweatband and if it might be time period specific. I believe the hat is made of Wool but it has a very unusual / unique hand that is similar to the other hats that I have with a similar paper label format. As you can see the felt is very dense + thin. This hat is very light in weight considering its size. Here is another one of the hats with a similar paper label.

"Lollar" is close by to Marburg so the hat company might be nearby. I will have to check into to possible hat companies in that area.

Great hats as usual, Steve. The Lollar says schwarz but looks more navy blue. Trick of the light? It reminds me of a lovely French homburg I bought from Daniele last summer. Date was late 1940's early 1950's. Very light, too. Could there be a connection?

Thank you for the conformation. I think the hat is later 1950s maybe a bit later. Look forward to seeing on your head.

Thanks for the info! The crown is much lower than expected. You got it! I think it would look much better when choice of clothing is more 'uptempo'. :)
