This is an old German or Austrian Velour. I think it might be pre WWI but no manufacturer mark. The crown was over 6 inches open. I am not sure if it had a liner. The Velour is very beautiful with some other colors mixed in with the black.

Manfred, I found it on Germany eBay for a low BIN. It was a mess in the photos but turned out to be in good condition. I really like these old Velours.

Today I was back at the flea market where I could make for 4 EUR, two bargain
The Fiebig Homburger, it´s the Same Manufacturer as Sauerland and a Dobbs Fifteen see it in The New Hat Thread.
Fiebig is the Manufacturer of Sauerland in the 1950.

Manfred, You are on a roll! I really like the Josef Pichler. I wasn't aware of Fiebig. Interesting they are still in business. I wonder if they self produce or OEM?

Yes Steve, on Weekend is Flea Market Time, every Weekend. My Wife and I Love it.
As you see, I'll also usually find some Hat.
Just a pity I can not keep them all. Many of my finds go to Ebay, most of which are not my size. Thats to bad.[huh]

No, in Finland. A lot of German stuff was imported here after the war, apparently.
