For sale is a dated 1959 US Navy peacoat in a size 50. I studied our Fedora Lounge users well chosen name "Peacoats" Guide on these on dating it.
As you can see it has the luxurious rich kersey wool, the double stitching above the cuffs which was discontinued in 1966 and the 1958 style tag. Coat is named to an EE Jenkins. There is no wear or tear on the lining near the collar. Corduroy pockets. No moth nips or holes anywhere to be seen. Only blemishes are the bottom two buttons on the right side are loose and there is a white mark underneath the collar that did not go away with dry cleaning. Not visible unless coat is buttoned all the way up to the collar.
