FS: US Made Co. Middleton Cafe Racer, M (40/42)

Bought this for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

$75 + shipping ($15 to EU, elsewhere PM me).

▶Info◀
Turns out it's a surprisingly good, quality jacket, made from a beastly thick leather. 4 - 5 oz, I'd say. Heavier & thicker than any of my jackets - Lost Worlds included which ought to say enough. Wears about the same.
Three outside pockets, one lining pocket. Shoulder gussets. Sleeve zips. . . Eh, just your regular 80's / 90's super heavy cafe racer.

I'm selling it because the cut is kind of weird and the sleeves are way too short for me. They measure 25" around the curve but appear to be shorter than that. Can't say why. All I know is that I can't wear it.

▶Condition◀
Jacket is in a great condition. Some sick fades, is about it.
I do suspect however that the hand-warmers originally had zippers and the previous owner removed them because it doesn't make sense to me such a CR wouldn't have zippered pockets. Dunno for sure, never saw this jacket before.
Aside that, all good. Flawless condition, inside and out. Clean.

▶Size◀
  • Chest (P2P): 22.5"
  • Waist: 19.5"
  • Shoulders: 21"
  • Sleeve length: 24.7"
  • Back length: 25.5"

Looking to get what I paid for it. Price aside, it is a really good, sturdy jacket. Won't fail you any sooner than any other at any price range. It's a good beater.

Shipping from EU. PayPal, F&F. Any questions, don't hesitate to write.

TTT. I'm selling it cheap because I just wanna move as many jackets as possible but it really is a good, insanely sturdy jacket. Mega bargain.

Nice Jacket, I have had a couple US-Made brand jackets pass through. But typically, as you observe, sleeves are short. Nice, heavy Cowhide there.

I'm new to FL and trying to find a cafe style jacket in the browns, tans and more natural colors, I'd like to stay away from black unless I find a really good deal on one. How did you measure your shoulder width and sleeve length?
I have a more dressy style leather jacket which is a medium and the chest and sleeves are very close to my jacket(kinda long in back length for a cafe) but the shoulder width on mine is 18 1/2". I am 5' 08" tall with a 40" chest(with T-shirt and sweat shirt) and 160 lbs.
Do you have any pics with this jacket on?

Hi, @BoDeen427 !

I'm measuring all my jackets this way...

No fit pics, sadly.

As for the color, well, the jacket used to be black but now I don't even think it'd be honest of me to call it that. It's grey and not a particularly dark shade of gray, too. :)

Thanks for the help,
I have three leather jackets at the moment, I am not a collector by any means but I like them. I have a cafe style jacket here that I'm going to measure(it's just a cheap made in Pakistan jacket that I got about 12 years ago so that I could ride) in a little while and get back with you about, I may still be interested in yours.

Lol,
I hear that! I'm probably like a lot of others on here, I appreciate a good quality jacket but I can't afford to spend $1000.00 or more on new ones every year. I'm pretty handy, I could probably work on an older jacket that needs some TLC and make it look pretty nice.
Anyway, this jacket is not really your classic style cafe racer but it's similar. It's not really tapered in the body like good cafes are it's more boxy and it's kinda long, goes down to about the middle of my zipper. The sleeves are long too especially for me even though they zip up pretty snug, they put a lot of pressure on the top of my hands. It is;
22" P to P (I could get away with 20" or 21")
20" shoulder width seam to seam
19" bottom of jacket width
25 3/4" back length
27 3/4" sleeve length
The size tag in the jacket is medium, I'm kinda in between sizes. I'm considered a 38 regular (which is sometimes considered small) or possibly a 40 (which is usually a medium) I guess depending on the jacket. Most of the time size small jackets seem too small, I usually go with a medium but like I said it depends on the jacket....

By the way, all of my measurements are in inches.

How much to ship this jacket to Owensboro, Ky 42301? Your jacket measurements are very close to mine except for the sleeves. The sleeves on mine are too long for me in my opinion, not so much when I'm riding but when I'm not.

@BoDeen427 , you're absolutely right, spending a $1000 on a leather jacket every year is madness. Sadly, that's what brought us all here but it's still madness.

Okay, looking at the measurements of your jacket, I would be pretty confident that this CR would fit you just fine. Nearly 28" sleeves on your jacket definitely seem too long, especially with the 20" shoulders. The sleeves on the CR I'm selling aren't even that short for me, just that I prefer longer sleeves, is all. I'm pretty confident it'd fit you just fine.

Though to be honest, I'm not sure how good of a deal this jacket would turn out to be for you since I'm in Europe and the shipping to the US would be around $50.

I'm gonna think about it. I'm concerned about the sleeve length relative to the shoulder width, on the black cafe type that I have the shoulder width is 20" but the shoulder width on my leather casual jacket is 18.5", measuring down the sleeve of my cafe with it on I came down to my thumb bone(where it meets my hand) and it measured 25", the sleeves on my casual jacket are 25" long but when I put it on the sleeves come down to around the middle of my fingers . The cafe jacket has soft shoulder padding in it, maybe that's where the difference is I'm not sure but I'm going to have to lay each jacket down side by side and do some comparisons on it to find out why the measurements are coming out the way they are. The shoulder width on the casual jacket being 1.5 inches shorter but yet the 25" sleeves are too long with that jacket is making me wonder....
If your jacket fits me good then I think $125.00 is still a good deal. I paid that much for my crappy Pakistanis plasticky leather jacket 12 years ago...

Well, you could do a lot worse. In fact, I don't think you can do much better, regardless of the price. This is a very heavy, sturdy jacket.
I have long-ish arms and need 26" sleeves and on this jacket, they reach over the wrist. I wouldn't even say they're short at all.
But yeah, this is going to last you a couple of hundred years, no doubt there.

Would take a couple of lifetimes to wear this one out. It's hard to describe just how heavy and sturdy this jacket is.
