FS: Unknown ponyhide carcoat?

This jacket is very interesting and if anyone knows what it is please comment. Seems to be a European jacket, judging by the inner pocket facing, elephant ear pocket flaps. But the construction otherwise is very American. The leather is almost definitely horsehide (ponyhide I’d say), wool lining is intact but sleeve lining could use replacement. Leather shell and pockets are in excellent condition.
Eclair zipper also intact.
