I picked this up a couple months ago and I've got enough other western thin ribbon styled hats that this won't get used enough to keep. The felt on this is very soft and lightweight. It is a round oval but formed to my extra long oval head easily and comfortably which is not common with modern production hats. The felt is comparable to a well used Akubra Squatter's superfine felt that I have. It's much softer than the standard Imperial grade Akubra felt. The crown is lower than an Akubra Campdraft and the brim feels a bit wider. I don't have it in front of me to measure at the moment but I would estimate from memory that it's about a 5" crown and 2 7/8" brim.

It appeared to be in brand new condition when I received it and I've only worn it 3-4 times. No hard work, sweating or rain etc... so it's basically in brand new, tried on condition.

It has one darker spot at the top of the left hand pinch. You can see this in the photos.

$90 shipped

Hi Casechopper - I believe that is a Miller Douglas, their take on the Open Road, and appears to no longer be available.

A nice color, the fawn - but I recently picked up a tan new Whippet, and don't need another tan hat. Plus the brim is far too wide for me - but hopefully this should sell quickly, as it's a desirable hat in a rare size. It's funny, but I have a small dark spot on mine in exactly the same place...

Hi Carldelo,
Thanks for the info. It may be the Douglas but I haven't found any markings with a model name so I can't be sure.

Fawn is a nice color and combines with many different types of clothing easily.
