Incredible jacket here! I purchased this directly from Standard and Strange ($1300). Minimally worn, just starting to show some teacore at the sleeve edges and zipper edge, small scratches/patina starting to develop. Shoulder gussets for mobility Including official description here. A limited riff on our Two Lane Blacktop jacket, the Two Lane Browntop II is sewn up in a rich brown Japanese tea core horsehide, with a subtle shine that reveals the leather's remarkable quality. A remarkably high quality leather, it's tough but forgiving, breaking in quickly to a supple fit that moves with you - the ideal example of a midweight horsehide, essentially. Over time, the leather will darken a bit, while in other areas that experience more movement, the light brown tea core will start to peek through.
Pattern wise, this is the leather jacket we've always wanted. Stripped down, (but not too much) with just the right details, like a western back yoke, all brass hardware, and a black cotton twill lining. Each jacket will be slightly different; marks, scars, and imperfections are to be expected and normal.
The silhouette is a cafe-racer with a proper collar, making for a jacket that's equally at home on the bike, or out for drinks with friends. The two hand pockets zip closed if desired, as does the welt chest pocket; there are two interior snap-closure chest pockets as well. Shoulder gussets add mobility, and side-adjuster tabs keep things trim.
