FS- Scott & Co. 7 1/4 Bowler/Derby SOLD

For Sale at a reasonable $20 + shipping. In decent as-is condition, I received this along with another hat and have no use for it.

Ross, apart from the shave (I wonder how that happened) your Scott & Co Bowler is a really nice piece, not to mention an interesting part of hat history.

It dates from 1953 to 1969. Most probably more 50s than 60s. 1953 is when Elizabeth II ascended to the throne. 1969 is when Scott & Co was taken over by Lock & Co.

The liner alone is worth $20 imo.

Thank you for that added research and observations, Steve! This hat came with my massive 7X5 No. 1 Stetson, and the ownership value of that hat has only gotten better each day and I’m thrilled to have it. With that, this neglected Scott came too and even though I could probably get more coin, I feel I got an amazing deal on the No. 1 and will let this go for the stated price. Thanks again!

Could well be, Bill. It's just such a strange shape for that. Guess we'll never know.

Btw, I think it's an English size as opposed to US. There's nothing that says it was made for the American market.
