Never thought I’d let go of this one, but it’s a bit small on me now and I’ve worn it maybe twice over the last couple years so I think it’s time.
These were a limited-run collaborative piece between Schott and now-defunct Context Clothing out of Madison, WI back in 2014. It’s a 1928H (Beck 333) made from natural Chromexcel, and about 100 units were produced in total over the course of two runs. The idea was to make a tank of a jacket that would last forever, require no maintenance and develop the kind of depth and patina natural chromexcel is famous for.
And, well, they succeeded. Aside from looking awesome, this jacket is heavy duty and will keep your skin intact if you happen to low side your moto. The owner of Context Clothing took a nasty spill riding in his and it was good to go after a coat of Obenauf’s.
There are a few small blemishes on the jacket which were present when I bought it. Namely a couple tiny pin-like holes on the left arm and side panel (I’m thinking these were present on the hide?), and a small centimeter-long scratch above the pocket flap on the D-pocket. There are no issues with any of the zippers or wool lining.
Approximate measurements are as follows:
Chest: 20”
Hem: 17.5”
Shoulders: 16.75” seam to seam taken from back
Sleeves: 23.5” (straight from shoulder seam to cuff)
Front length: 25”
Back length: 23.75”
Asking $850 plus the ride.
If you need more info or photos let me know!
