I'm hoping to sell this Schott Type-N-5A bomber jacket. Wonderful goatskin with a sherpa lining and foxtail-trimmed hood. I originally bought this NOS and will include the tags (pictured below) with purchase. Gail at Schott says this jacket was only made in 1988 and 1989 with this being the 1989 version. The pit-to-pit is 23 inches but the waist knit is 15" across so it's definitely a roomy 38 but the taper keeps it from just feeling huge. For reference, I'm a 37" chest and have plenty of room for layering but if I could hypothetically size down I probably wouldn't. That said, I tend to like a more relaxed fit so YMMV. There are two defects/quirks of this jacket worth mentioning. Both are pictured:
1. One of my cats got in a severe disagreement with this jacket and a small portion of the hood trim was taken off. I'll send that with the jacket.
2. Either the original hide was scarred or there's some advanced graining going on with the right sleeve. Doesn't necessarily look bad, but it's a little incongruous with the rest of the jacket since the hide is otherwise in spectacular shape for something of this age.
Asking $200 shipped in the CONUS. Thanks!
