| Up for sale we have a seldom seen Schott 611 horsehide D-pocket motorcycle jacket, size 48, pre-owned and in good overall condition. Schott NYC has been producing American motorcycle jackets since the late 1920s and is widely credited with defining the classic zip-front biker jacket. While Schott is best known for long-running models such as the 613 and 618, the 611 occupies a more unusual and short-lived place in their history. The Schott 611 was produced for a limited period in the mid-1990s (approximately 1994–1995) and is one of the few modern-era Schott jackets to feature a true D-pocket configuration. Rather than a contemporary reinterpretation, the 611 was intentionally designed as a throwback to early American motorcycle jackets of the 1950s, drawing direct inspiration from the Buco J-22 in both pocket layout and overall silhouette. This example is constructed from horsehide, a material Schott used selectively during this period. The jacket retains its original hardware and has not been altered or restored. The condition is good overall - leather is quite nice free of any significant nicks, etc. There is some minor stitching undone at the one of the zippers on the D pocket (as pictured). Can be worn as is or should be an easy fix. Further, the inner pocket has some loose stitching as well. The lining is in good overall condition free of any tears. Some minor loose threads. All zippers and snaps work without a problem. Tag size is 48 - please see measurements listed below (and pictured). Measurements taken to the best of my ability (please allow for minor variance due to human error): Armpit to armpit: 25.75" Shoulder to shoulder: 21.75" Length from bottom of collar: 26" Sleeve: 24.5" As with any pre-owned garment, signs of age and wear should be expected. Any significant flaws have been disclosed to the best of my ability. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Price is $475 shipped in the continental us. Ships promptly upon payment. |
