Here's the story on this spectacular jacket: I bought it about a month ago while I was in Tokyo at the Real McCoys store. I wasn't even thinking about getting a B-6, but after trying it on, there was just no way I could live without it. The fit and feel of this is truly on another level. If you've never worn a B-6, trust me, it's a perfect jacket. And if you have, obviously The Real McCoys version is the best there is. Obviously. I wore it around Japan for the next week or so, and it kept me VERY warm, even in the mountains with temperatures in teens and 20s (F).
Then I got back to Los Angeles, and realized... I live in Los Angeles, and will almost never get to wear it. The jacket is so good, it makes me want to plan trips to colder climates just so I can wear it. Sadly, I'm not joking.
So this is the newest version from F/W '19. Super thick sheep skin, with horsehide accents - that's Shinki horsehide strips covering all the seams. That's also horsehide used for the side and throat straps, and the entrance to the pockets and triangles at all other stress points. It's wildly robust. Personally, I think this is the best looking version they've ever made. It's amazing how light, yet warm this it is.
There are a few VERY minor signs of wear, but like I said, it's probably only been worn 6 times. The lining is perfect like new, with absolutely no discoloration or stains. It's never been near smoke, so it's still got that new leather smell. Will ship with a Real McCoys wood hangar, and large Real McCoys cloth bag.
