Hey Loungers,
Here we have an original West ride Front Quarter Horsehide leather jacket with 800FP White Goose down filing & luxurious alpaca lining
Vintage zip talon ,top quality
Genuine front quarter horsehide, chrome tanned in a rich reddish medium-dark brown.
$525USD + Shipping from Canada
New versions with Horsehide are $1633 plus duties and have acrylic liners.
Fits on the large end of small imo.
My height and weight in photos: 6ft3 155lb approx.
This model was made in the early days of the company and used real alpaca for the lining. The feeling is luxurious.
Someone before me attempted to clean or condition one of the sleeves and one of the pocket openings and it seems they used something that striped some of the colour from the leather in those spots. I have since conditioned it and it is a little better. It is subtle and due to the look of the finish/dye used in the hide it is not very noticeable. There is also some water staining I believe on one of the chest panels which again isn't obvious. Also you'll see some lines from whoever stored the jacket before I owned it. The zipper and snap have left imprints on the leather in certain areas.
I've received many compliments on this particular jacket from both men and women, in fact my lady wishes it still fit me. There's something about it that is unique, elegant and tough. And it really is tough. It feels like it will last a lifetime and I trust that it will if you care for it as intended.
P.S. The hand warmer pockets are legendary on this jacket and it is truly comfortable to wear. My only gripe is for a thick neck the zip is a little uncomfortable all the way up. The collar folds down when it's zipped up fully which is a nice touch and the ribbing is an impressive material too.
