This was my first straw hat that I purchased in 2001 from Valley Hat Shop in Allentown, PA. I was just getting interested in hats other than baseball caps. Then I stopped wearing hats for quite a while. This just sat in the closet; I pulled it out during special occasions or maybe a summer party, but it just got left out. Since I now prefer fedoras over porkpies, I want to sell or trade it. Color is natural with a 1 3/8" light brown / toffee grosgrain ribbon. Size is [true] 7 1/4 or 58. Crown opening dimension is approx. 7 13/16" x 6 1/4". Brim width is 2 1/16". The weave has some openness to it, so it's well ventilated for summer wear.
I'm asking $65 SHIPPED (ConUS) or TRADE for a 7 1/4 Biltmore Milan Pinch fedora or a similar straw fedora in a natural color. What'cha Got???
Here are some pics... :thumb:
There is a slight separation in the straw weave where the brim meets the crown. It's not noticeable when you are wearing it, but it's approx. 3/4" when you're handling it. An easy fix if you're handy with a sewing needle...
