I bought this jacket in 2021 from a member and it has been a good friend on chilly winter nights here in LA ever since. I have handled a lot of Japanese leather and I think this particular jacket and this deer hide and this dying process is one of finest, if not the finest, examples of Japanese textile prowess. It is superlative. The black has a brown incandescent sheen that is really beautiful to see and adds a depth in a way I haven't seen in anything else. Sometimes for no reason at all I stop dead in my tracks when passing the closet I keep it in to take it out and admire it. It's the ultimate!
The jacket has two original flaws in the leather. I own a pair of 1500 dollar Causse peccary leather gloves and they have the same round mark. I think of it as character not as a flaw. Photos show the used condition of the jacket. Nothing terrible. Jacket is in good shape. All zippers work.
I'm letting it go because my style has changed and I'm not into leather as much.
In terms of sizing, I usually wear a size 44 in Japanese leather jackets. This size wears well on my size 42 chest. DM me for specific measurements.
