FS Fine Creek Leather - Leon Custom size 42 or Trade for size 44

Hello All,

Selling a Fine Creek Leather Leon Custom in size 42. This is the currently discontinued 2mm thick version. Purchased used just a few days ago. The jacket was gently used and as described by the previous owner.

Details: There is some light teacore coming through at the collar and edges, along with creasing in the sleeves consistent with normal wear. The previous owner made some professional enhancements to this jacket by removing the factory snap stud on the upper shoulder. The trim of leather where the epaulets and belt are were also removed. These customizations were impeccably done to make a neater appearance and the jacket shows no sign of alteration whatsoever. No rips, tears, stains, scratches, or odors to speak of. I've been on a long search for a Leon Custom in 2mm but was disappointed to find that the 42 in this 2mm was still very snug on me. The outgoing 1.5mm Shinki version I tried on at Self Edge in size 42 was a much more generous fit from my experience.

I suppose it was a play at making it seem like a rough and personalized piece. It’s been criticized before as somewhat of an eye sore but I didn’t mind it either way. Certainly helps that they were neatly removed on this one. I couldn’t hope for a better result getting this done myself!

Can you provide:

the sweep (opening) measurement

close up photo of where the alterations were done to see the stiching? was it sewn through the lining or was the lining opened for the alterations?

How is the main zipper and insert pin fabric holding up? Any fraying or damage starting?

I'll update more pictures of the jacket against a measuring tape for everyone's curiosity. I'll try to get this up in the next couple days or so.

I'm no expert but from my careful examination there is no visible stitching at all. It looks absolutely stock - much to my own amazement. No stitching or odd distortion in the lining either. My best guess is it was removed and altered with absolute precision.

All original Talon zippers, pockets, fabric are in pristine shape.

You have no idea how much I wished for this to work on me.... sighh.

UPDATE: Additional details
I was all too curious about the spectacular alterations done to this jacket so I contacted the previous owner regarding the jacket's history. Turns out this is a very rare one off Leon Custom Custom! He left out the very notable fact that this jacket was a special order by Rivet & Hide direct from Fine Creek! It's no wonder the edits look so natural.

Also I’m a bit surprised this jacket is not heavy say in the 5lb plus range? Or is the 2mm hide just lighter than CXL due to veg tan and less fats stuffed in hide?

My guestimate is 3-3.5 lbs. from the total package weight mailed to me which was a total of 5 lbs. Sorry I don't have an actual scale. Overall, I'd say this is definitely a comfortable Fall/Winter wearer. A bit heavy for Summer months IMO.

As requested, here are additional pics with a soft measuring tape. It was a bit difficult to press the jacket completely taught while measuring so give ~5mm. Did my best to take closeups of areas with the most wear along with stitching where the alterations were made.

The hide is beautiful - thank you for the additional pics. At almost 6 feet, I’m afraid the sleeves length of 23.2” is way too short for me. I wear 25-26” sleeves.

Measurements don't always tell the whole story but IME this feels like a US 40 jacket. Maybe even slightly trimmer.

For reference, I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs.. I weight lift regularly so my proportions are likely displaced differently.
