The wide last was designed by Brass/Clinch for the American market to accommodate the larger “Western” foot, as many in the States and in Europe found the CN and CN Soft-toe lasts too narrow.

Can’t speak for others but in my experience, I fit CN half a size up compared to CN-W (im a 7.5D/Ebrannock) -25.5cm typically I’d wear CNwide 8 or CN 8.5 so those are 0.5 too big. But it mainly depends on your width and instep. Goodluck
