This vintage Brooks Leather Sportswear cross-zip jacket was proudly Made in Detroit, USA — the same factory that outfitted riders from the golden era of biker culture through the 1980s. Brooks was known for building their jackets from heavy full-grain cowhide that softens beautifully with age yet remains nearly indestructible. This particular piece is a Size 40 (Men’s Medium) and features the classic asymmetrical zip front, wide lapels with snap-downs, three front zip pockets, coin pocket, shoulder epaulets, and an adjustable waist belt minus the buckle. All zippers and hardware are original and fully functional. The lining is clean and intact, and the leather still carries a rich sheen with natural creasing — per the photos there are no cracks, no peeling, and no repairs. If you appreciate the craftsmanship of Schott, Vanson, Buco, or Langlitz, this Brooks holds its own. The “Made in USA” label and 1970s-mid-1980s production (based on my research) period make it especially desirable among collectors and everyday riders alike.

Thank you, it is always difficult for me to discuss "wear" on a leather jacket as I feel like that is so personal. That said, this jacket seems to have lived a gentle existence compared to what I have seen out there. I am sure someone is going to love having this in their collection.
