⚜ PRICE ⚜
€800 shipped within the EU. IBAN or WISE or if absolutely inevitable, PayPal with all fees paid by buyer.
⚜ INFO ⚜
Derby style lace-up shoes by Stefano Botta or, as his brand is known, Botta S in a size UK 12.
In short, Stefano Botta is a highly exclusive, avant-garde shoemaker who lives and creates in his workshop in Treviso, Italy. Exclusively made-to-order and custom-fitted, each pair of Botta S shoes is entirely handmade through old school, traditional shoemaking techniques by Stefano alone.
This pair was custom made for me some two years ago. My specs didn't significantly deviate from the default setup except that I told Stefano to go nuts on the toughness, which in retrospect was a madness to ask for as Botta S footwear is already at the limit of how sturdy a pair of shoes can be.
So please understand that should you be expecting something akin to all the "rugged" makers discussed here, you would be in the wrong as by comparison, these other brands are in the flip-flops category. That includes Kreosote, too.
Some basic info about this pair...
– Kangaroo leather (heaviest kind, double layer)
– Massive leather soles with heavy rubber sole protectors
– Larger, higher heel
– Blake stitch sole construction
– Hand dyed, finished and aged upper
– Hand forged needle eyelets
Etc.
Default version of Botta S derbies is €1450 & all these mods would put them anywhere north of €1700 so...
⚜ CONDITION ⚜
While I occasionally wore them, they look literally the same as on the day I got them. Last photo is showing the shoes straight out of the box vs. today so you can see for yourself that they are showing virtually no signs of wear.
⚜ SIZE ⚜
UK 12 which is EU 47 and US 13, if I am not mistaken. They run TTS. Despite the weight, I find them very comfortable.
• Sole length - 35 cm / 13.80 inches
• Sole width - 13 cm / 5.10 inches
• Insole length (approx.) - 30.5 cm / 12 inches
• Heel height - 5 cm / 2 inches
⚜ MISC ⚜
Should you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to ask. Shipped from the European Union. Thank you.
