FS: Art Fawcett's Vintage Silhouettes hat

Hi,

I have a Vintage Silhouettes hat made by Art Fawcett for sale. It's a granite 100% beaver fur felt fedora with a bright red lining. It a bit smaller than 7 3/8 (maybe 7 1/4). Excellent shape and superb quality. I'm selling it only because I think I measured my head wrong and it sits a little tight. It's got 2 3/8" underwelt brim and about 5 1/2" crown height (open). It comes with VS hat box. I'm asking $260 + shipping.

Nice! But I think we are both the same size so it would probably be snug on me too. I spoke to Art today and I think I'm going to order one also.

Have you talked to Art about this problem? He'd probably fix it for you.

I did have Art adjust it a bit but it's still a bit tight.

Just out of curiosity, can't you have him remove the sweatband and ribbon, reblock the hat to a larger size, and outfit it with new accoutrements? It seems easier than the hassle of selling, and possibly ordering a new one.
