Authentic antique 1920s–1930s era wool newsboy cap in a classic 8-panel slouchy construction, a true workwear staple of the period. This is not a later reproduction—an original American-made piece with the soft, full crown and natural drape collectors look for. Price is $100 shipped in the continental U.S. for the cap (Zelle or PayPal Friends & Family).

Done in a textured wool with a subtle check pattern that wears easily with both vintage and modern wardrobes. The shape is right—full crown, low profile, and a proper slouch when worn.

Details:

True 8 panel construction

Slouchy crown with soft drape

Flexible visor with original snap

Original interior branding: Sweet Cap / Dickinson’s Clothes Shop (Worthington, Minn.)

Union label present

Larger, wearable size: 7 1/4

Leather sweatband appears to have been removed; fit still feels true to size and may run slightly larger without the band

Condition:

Good antique condition overall. Structurally sound with no major damage to the wool or visor.

Some discoloration from age/storage

Staining to interior lining and minor spotting to wool in one area (see photos)

Signs of use should be expected for an antique cap approximately 100 years old

Presents well and remains fully wearable

A solid example of early American workwear headwear, getting harder to find in a true slouchy 8-panel form and larger size. Displays well and wears even better.

Ships quickly upon payment. Any questions please reach out.
